Member's presentation night: Mon 3 July
6:30pm, held via Zoom, the link is sent via our secretary to all members.
This is our annual Members presentation night where we feature 5 minute talks by our members about a whole range of subjects that relate to astronomy.
This year's event will feature Rob Luxford who develops fascinating educational videos about astronomy and his latest one is all about Comets; Craig McIlveen has been investigating how discoveries in space are communicated in images; Dirk Goes will tell us all about Scorpius and Frank Catanzariti will present about Dark Matter. John Harris will unravel the mystery of Chichen Itza and Wayne Orchiston will delve into astronomical history with his knowledge of early BAA Members in his story of The Hirsts and Jupiter: A brief excursion in Trans-Tasman astronomy.
Toner Stevenson's fascination with Annie Dodwell's eclipse and other observations continues and Peter Osman will tell us about his favourite astronomical websites. No doubt there will be more presentations on the night!
It is always fun to get together and share our curiousity and knowledge.
If you want to join us and are not a member please email our secretary: sydneycityskywatchers@gmail.com.
